Camp feelings

Image
Camp Hi bloggers, tomorrow we are going on camp to Mt Ruapehu and we have to say how we are feeling about different subjects.  The first question is What emotions are we feeling before we go on camp? I am feeling: Exited A little bit sad because I have to be away from my pets Overjoyed because I get to go skiing with my friends The next question is what exited you, makes you nervous and worries you? The thing that worries me the most is the drive there because it is 6 hours and when I usually go I can listen to music and have blankets with me but this time I can't What Excites me the most is being able to ski with friends and not by myself. The thing that makes me most nervous is the cold and if my hands will be warm enough because last time I went my hands were freezing even though I had inner -gloves. The next question was What is the event or place that is going to push you to your limits? I think the thing that is going to push me to my limits is tryi...

Squash Lessons

Image
Squash Lessons Hi blogger's every Wednesday we get squash lessons with a man named Jude. On the first week we learnt hand and eye co-ordination and we got to try and have a round of squash with a partner. On the first week I wasn't that good at playing the round. On the second lesson we had three different stations where we could play squash. We got to verse the coach and I scored 34. I really like playing squash and think that it is really fun once you have got the hang of it. Here are some photos from squash.

My Narrative

My Narrative Hi bloggers, In writing this term we have been working on narratives. We had to write about something we did in the holiday but we got to exaggerate it to make it more interesting and fun to read. We planned by thinking of two things that we did in the holiday, the two things that I chose were Lazer tag and Mt Ruapehu, in the end I chose Mt Ruapehu. After we chose we got a story mountain. A story mountain is  where you plan your writing by laying it out. At the bottom of the mountain there are the characters and the setting, then in the middle of the mountain there is the problem then right at the top of the mountain there is the climax. Then when you work your way down the mountain there is the solution, ending and you can add a moral. I think that the story mountain is a good idea and would use it again. Here is a link to my narrative.

Litter blitz

Litter blitz Hi, bloggers last week my school went on a rubbish search called the Litter Blitz. At the start we went into the hall and had to make a promise that was about picking up rubbish and not dropping any on the ground. We all went with our class. We had around one and a half hours to pick up as much as we could. I was very surprised how much rubbish there was at the end of the day. It was way more than I expected, it was 200kg. There was 5 golden ticket hidden throughout the streets and one in the school. The juniors searched the school and the middles and seniors searched the streets. I was really happy after the search because I felt really good and felt like I had helped the community. But I was really sad that people would even think to drop rubbish and not putting it in the right bin. Each class was assigned an route to pick up rubbish on. I was surprised about the different types of rubbish we found, we found a wand, underwear and even a nappy disgusting! Here are so...

Climate change march personal response

Personal Response Hi bloggers, on Friday the senior syndicate went to protest about climate change. My reading group had to write a personal response about them. It includes what surprised you, what you liked, What you disliked, Something you would change, What it made you think about and what you didn't understand. We had to add three things about each column. We had to write the personal response about the climate change march and a article we read on stuff.com. Here is my Personal response . Blog you later.
