Supermarket trip Hi, bloggers lately we have had a lady called Isabelle, from food for thought come in. She has been teaching us about food, which foods are good for you, which aren't so good for you and how to read labels on different foods. In the first lesson she taught us all the different food groups and how much of each food group we should be eating in a day. We learnt that we should have five teaspoons of sugar a day and a lot more things. In the second lesson we learnt how to read the labels, what column of food we should be seeing the amount from and how much more or less of each food groups should be in food. At the end of the lesson she taught us how much sugar was in drinks and how many days worth of sugar was in that drink. Beach Clean Up

Beach Clean On Friday, the 27th of September the Senior Syndicate went on a beach clean up at Waikowhai Bay. We went on the last day of school because we couldn't go to the climate strike so we did our part by cleaning up Waikowhai Bay. There were many varieties of rubbish on the beach such as; glass bottles, towels, lots of glass and fishing nets. There were also lots of banks that we could climb, we also found rubbish up the banks. We even found little crabs under the rocks. We all wore our orange beanies that we wore to the climate change so we could see everyone from far away. I think that people should not be so lazy and just put their rubbish in the bin because you never know where it might end up or how it could affect the future. At the end of the day we got lots of photos and walked back to school. Here are some photos from the day.
