Camp!

⛷❄CAMP!!!πŸ”πŸ‚

Hi bloggers, only last week our school went on the most amazing camp ever, we went to Mt Ruapehu. It was around 8.15 when most of the senior syndicate was heading to Mt Ruapehu one of the best experiences we were probably ever going to have at school.

When we were finding our gear and packing we could tell that it was getting very close and the excitement was rising and rising. We were only weeks then days away from camp. I was feeling ecstatic the fact of skiing with my friends was amazing. I was hoping for good weather but sadly it wasn't how I was hoping for it to be but everyone made the most of it.

The bus drive was going to be long but luckily we had many amazing stops such as Hamilton Gardens, Taumarunui school and Ed Hillary walkway. At Hamilton Gardens we did a really a really fun challenge where we went around Hamilton Gardens looking for different things that were on our pieces of paper our team finished second. My favourite garden there was the Japanese garden of contemplation. The next stop we had was at the Ed Hillary walkway if you don't know what that is it is a walkway with lots of different things and facts about New Zealand. We got a piece of paper which asked questions and we had to answer those questions by finding the answers on the different boards. Our last stop on the way there was at Taumarunui school where we got to play on the playground.

When we arrived at the crossing we had dinner then got to play in the games room then went to bed. We we woke up in the morning at 6 o'clock and got ready to go skiing and snowboarding. When we were all ready we hoped on the bus and went to Mt Ruapehu. When we got there the first day we went sledding and after sledding we did a little bit of skiing and snowboarding. On the second day we had a lesson then had free time to ski. I got to go up to Water fall but it was really hard to see. Luckily I could follow Ms Sands because she knew the way down.

On the bus ride back we stopped at three places which were Huka falls, Hamilton gardens and Taupo pools. At Huka falls we took a heap of photos and for most of us it was our first time seeing it. We also went to Taupo pools which was so much fun there was a bombing zone a Tarzan swing and a slide. For lunch we had hot dogs then went back swimming.

For the year 3 and 4's I think that they should definitely go because it is an experience that you might never get to have again. It's also just like sleepover with all of your friends. I hope that all of the 3 and 4's get to go to camp and have one of the best times that they have ever had.

Here are two links of some work that I have done on camp.

  1. Hello, my name is Rosaline.
I am in Haumia class at Waikowhai Primary School.
I like the part when Zoe talks about all the things they did, especially the part about the pools.
It reminds me of when I was little and I would go swimming and my cousin would let me ride his back and take me under the water!
Maybe you could write more in your blog because I loved hearing about your time at Camp.
