Summer Learning Journey Day 1 Week 2
Taking the lead
Hi blogger, for todays summer learning journey activity we had list our top five favourite things to do.
- climb trees
this is one of my favourite activitys because your way up high which I love and you are in the breeze. Also our neighbours have a really good climbing tree which me and my friend love to climb. It is also shaded and there are also lots of comfortable spots you can find whilst climbing trees.
- Go swimming
This is another one of my favourite avtivities because it is super refreshing and I just love swimming it is one of my favourite sports.
- Skiing
I love skiing because you can zoom down and go on the chairlifts and the T - bar. Also I love it because it is so beautiful when it's snow fall.

- Camping
I love this because you get to be out in nature and you get to sleepin tents or sometimes just in the open. You also get to stay up late and sometimes put marsh mellows under the fire.
- Watching TV with my cats
This is one of my favourites because you can snuggle up under a blanket on a rainy day sipping hot chocolate with your cats. Also because it is warm and relaxing.
Activity 2
Tis time they included math in this activity. The question was how old is Dr Jessa Rodgers today if she was born on the 7th of April 1985
Dear Jacinda
In this activity we had to write a letter to Jacinda Ardur talking about an issue.
Dear Jacinda
As you know the world is getting more and more polluted. So I would like to ask if you could start banning some things such as glad wrap and othr things that we don't need that are just polluting our planet.
Glad wrap is terrible it is found everywhere and so many people use it. So maybe if in the grocery store they could start selling wax wraps instead and we could reduce the amount of users and we could maybe even ban it.
Could we also ban smoking because the person using the siggarete is not only harming themself they are also harming the people around them. Also because of all the many many users it is getting smoke everywhere in the air. Also if we don't do anything the air will gradually get more polluted and we could possibly notice birds dying and specises become extinct because of all the pollution.
Something else that we could ban is micro beads because they are in so many different products and people aren't even noticing or checking what they use. These nasty little beads can also make it in to the sea and then a fish may come along and eat a bunch and then it will die because we didn't do aything to stop it.
From Zoe
Great job Zoe on your blog post. I very much enjoyed reading it! I liked how you added wonderful pictures! I also enjoyed the amount of detail in your entertaining writing. maybe next time you could add a bit more colour and something to catch the readers eyes! But apart from that fantastic job Zoe! Merry Christmas and blog ya later!
ReplyDeleteKia ora Zoe,
ReplyDeleteThanks for completing all of the activities for week 2, day 1! Firstly, I really enjoyed reading what some of your favourite things to do are and the photos you’ve added are great! I can tell you’ve put a lot of thought and effort into this activity. I love camping too, in fact I am going camping this weekend up north! I’m hoping for lots of sunshine :)
The second activity asks you to figure out Jessa’s age when she won the NAIDOC Youth of the Year award and to explain how you solved this maths problem. Can you please have a go at re-doing this activity, then I can give you the full points! You can either edit this post or delete it and create an entirely new one.
Have a great day and keep up the blogging!
Eliza :)
